LinkedIn Integration With Dynamics 365: How to Track LinkedIn Ads Influence on Pipeline in 2026

TL;DR

  • Native options report in LinkedIn, not on your accounts. LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report offers company-level attribution, but neither it nor Sales Navigator writes ad exposure onto Dynamics account records.

  • Check your lead sync. Microsoft removed the outbound marketing module from Customer Insights - Journeys in May 2026, so older LinkedIn lead setups need a review.

  • Sales needs account-level signals. The useful question is which Dynamics accounts saw your ads, and whether those accounts became pipeline.

  • Hey Sid connects to Dynamics 365 today. It syncs your Dynamics deals and shows which ones came from companies your LinkedIn ads reached, as influenced pipeline and revenue.

A LinkedIn integration with Dynamics 365 should answer one question: did your LinkedIn advertising move the accounts your sales team is working? Most setups answer a smaller one. They show which people filled in a form, or they show a prospect's LinkedIn profile inside a Dynamics record.

That gap matters most for sales-led B2B companies with long buying cycles. Buyers see your ads for months before anyone raises a hand, and none of that exposure shows up in the CRM.

This guide covers what Microsoft and LinkedIn connect natively in 2026, where the limits are, and how to set up account-level LinkedIn Ads reporting in Dynamics 365 step by step. It is written for marketing managers, marketing operations and RevOps leads at Microsoft-first companies that run LinkedIn Ads and need to show sales what that spend is doing.

What a LinkedIn Integration With Dynamics 365 Covers in 2026

"LinkedIn integration" means three different things in a Dynamics 365 environment. Each one moves different data, and each one has a different owner.

Integration

What it connects

What it does not show

Typical owner

LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Dynamics 365 Sales

LinkedIn profile and company insights inside Dynamics lead, contact and account forms

Which accounts saw or engaged with your ads

Sales operations

LinkedIn Revenue Attribution Report

Dynamics 365 data into LinkedIn Business Manager, reporting LinkedIn-influenced pipeline, revenue and ROAS, at member or company level

Ad exposure written back onto your Dynamics account records

Marketing and RevOps

LinkedIn lead capture into Dynamics

Lead gen form submissions into the CRM

Accounts that saw ads but never filled in a form

Marketing operations

CRM-connected ad reporting (for example Hey Sid)

LinkedIn Ads reach per company matched to CRM deals, reported as influenced pipeline and revenue. For Dynamics, deals sync into Hey Sid. For HubSpot, ad engagement is also written to CRM records

Individual form fills (handled by lead capture)

Marketing

Sources: Microsoft Learn, Sales Navigator integration, LinkedIn Help, Revenue Attribution Report in Business Manager, Hey Sid, Integrations.

The first three are useful. But they leave the same gap: the account where five people saw your ads for three months and nobody clicked is invisible on its Dynamics record. For a long-cycle B2B company, that is often the account that matters most.

Sales Navigator for Dynamics 365

The Sales Navigator integration puts LinkedIn data inside Dynamics 365 Sales. Reps see profile details, mutual connections and recommended decision-makers on lead, contact and account forms, according to Microsoft Learn.

The licensing is specific. Microsoft lists two qualifying licenses: a Microsoft Relationship Sales subscription, or a LinkedIn Sales Navigator Advanced Plus license. Check your plan before you plan the rollout.

Sales Navigator is a prospecting tool. It tells your reps who people are. It does not tell them which accounts your marketing has already reached.

LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report

LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report connects your CRM to LinkedIn Business Manager. LinkedIn lists three supported CRMs: Salesforce, Dynamics 365 and HubSpot. Once connected, it reports revenue, pipeline and return on ad spend for LinkedIn-influenced opportunities.

The report goes further than many teams expect. According to LinkedIn Help, it offers impression-based and engagement-based attribution models, attribution at member or company level, and an exportable opportunity and company report that shows how your campaigns move companies through the funnel.

LinkedIn reports that one SMB customer found LinkedIn-influenced opportunities were 39% more likely to close than other deals. That is LinkedIn's own customer example, not an independent benchmark, but it shows the kind of question the report is built to answer.

The limit is where that data lives. Company-level attribution inside LinkedIn, or in an exported file, is not the same as ad exposure on the Dynamics account record your rep opens before a call. The report does not write ad exposure back onto Dynamics records.

Lead capture and the outbound marketing removal

Many Dynamics teams captured LinkedIn lead gen form submissions through the marketing app. Microsoft confirms that the outbound marketing module in Customer Insights - Journeys was removed from all environments in May 2026. Microsoft's older LinkedIn lead gen documentation for the marketing app now redirects to those removal notes.

If your LinkedIn lead flow was built on outbound marketing, check it now. Microsoft's removal notes are specific about what still works:

  • Not usable in real-time journeys: outbound marketing segments, plus assets such as emails, forms, marketing pages, journeys, lead scoring models and subscription lists.

  • Must be recreated: events created in outbound marketing.

  • Still usable: the asset library, and marketing lists, which you can include in real-time dynamic segments.

Why Dynamics 365 Teams Struggle to Connect LinkedIn Ads to Pipeline

LinkedIn Campaign Manager knows which companies saw and clicked your ads. Dynamics 365 knows which accounts have open opportunities. Neither system knows what the other one knows.

Three things make this harder for Microsoft-first B2B companies:

  • Long sales cycles hide influence. Hey Sid's clients typically run sales cycles of 12 to 36 months (Hey Sid internal data). A click-based report cannot credit ads that ran a year before the opportunity was created.

  • Buying groups rarely click. Several people at an account see your ads, and most never fill in a form. Lead-based reporting misses them all.

  • Data lives in several places. Account lists often sit in Excel or SharePoint alongside Dynamics, which makes it hard to know which list your ads actually targeted.

The result is a familiar conversation: marketing reports impressions and CTR, sales asks what that has to do with the pipeline, and nobody has a shared answer. For more on why this happens, see why most of the B2B buyer journey is invisible to your CRM.

How to Track LinkedIn Ads Influence in Dynamics 365: Step by Step

The goal is simple: know which Dynamics 365 accounts have seen your LinkedIn advertising, and how much pipeline and revenue came from those accounts. Six steps get you there.

Step 1: Decide which question you need answered

Start with the decision the data should support. Three common ones:

  1. Sales prioritisation: which accounts are warm enough for outreach this month.

  2. Budget justification: how much pipeline came from accounts your ads reached.

  3. Targeting quality: what share of your target account list your ads actually reached.

Each question needs account-level data, not lead-level data. Write the questions down before you touch any settings. They decide which fields you need in Dynamics.

Step 2: Clean up the account list your ads will use

Your ads and your CRM must work from the same list of companies. If Dynamics has one target list and Campaign Manager has another, the match between them will be poor.

  • Export your target accounts from Dynamics, including company name and website.

  • Remove duplicates and merge parent and subsidiary accounts where your sales team treats them as one.

  • Retire spreadsheet copies of the list so the CRM is the single source.

Keep the website filled in on every account, not only the company name. Company names vary in spelling and legal suffixes, so a second identifier gives any matching process more to work with.

Step 3: Connect LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report for a baseline

The Revenue Attribution Report lives in LinkedIn Business Manager, so it is a sensible first measurement for teams already advertising on LinkedIn. Set up Business Manager, add your ad accounts, then connect Dynamics 365. A Dynamics administrator usually needs to be involved. Confirm any costs with LinkedIn before you plan around it.

Use the report to get a first answer to the budget question, and use company-level attribution to see which accounts moved. Then note what it does not do: it does not put that exposure on the Dynamics records your sales team works in every day.

Step 4: Match Dynamics deals to company-level ad reach

This is the step that closes the gap. Instead of judging LinkedIn on form fills, you match each Dynamics deal to the companies your ads actually reached. That way the whole buying group counts, including the people who never click.

Hey Sid’s Microsoft Dynamics integration does this today. It syncs your deals from Dynamics, connects them to the companies your campaigns reached, and shows the result as influenced pipeline and revenue. No exports or spreadsheets are needed.

If you also want ad signals on the CRM record itself, that is live for HubSpot. Hey Sid’s HubSpot integration syncs three signals per company:

  • Impressions: how much advertising exposure the company has received.

  • Clicks: which companies are taking the next step and interacting with the ads.

  • Engagement: which accounts are actively engaging with your campaigns.

For Dynamics, the integration currently covers deal sync only.

Step 5: Report influenced companies, pipeline and revenue

Once deals and ad reach are connected, you can see the commercial outcome. Hey Sid’s Revenue Reporting shows three numbers.

  • Influenced companies: accounts in your CRM that have already been exposed to your campaigns.

  • Influenced pipeline: the value of opportunities linked to exposed companies.

  • Influenced revenue: closed revenue from companies your campaigns influenced.

This changes the reporting conversation from "how many impressions did we buy?" to "how much pipeline did our advertising touch?". For a deeper look at the metric, read why influenced pipeline is the B2B KPI that matters.

Step 6: Give sales a weekly view of warm accounts

Data only helps if sales uses it. Each week, take the target accounts your ads are reaching most and compare them with open opportunities in Dynamics. Review the list together in your weekly pipeline meeting.

Agree on one rule with sales, for example: accounts with rising engagement and no open opportunity get a personal outreach attempt within 2 weeks. That turns ad data into a shared sales and marketing process. The sales and marketing alignment playbook covers how to set those rules up.

Common Mistakes When Connecting LinkedIn Ads to Dynamics 365

Treating form fills as the whole story

Lead gen form submissions are the easiest data to sync, so teams stop there. But in a long B2B cycle, form fills are a small share of the accounts your ads reach. If your report only counts forms, it will undercount LinkedIn's role in the deals your sales team closes.

Running ads against a different list than the CRM

If your LinkedIn audiences come from an old spreadsheet, your influence data will never line up with Dynamics. Build audiences from the same account list your sales team works. See how to build B2B ad audiences from your CRM for the setup.

Measuring too early

Hey Sid's clients typically run 12 to 36 month sales cycles (Hey Sid internal data). Judging LinkedIn influence after one quarter will understate it. Set a review point that matches your actual cycle, and track leading signals (engagement per target account) in the meantime.

Keeping the data in marketing tools only

A dashboard only marketing opens does not change sales behaviour. Bring the list of engaged accounts into the pipeline meeting, and put the signal on the CRM record where your setup allows it.

Where Hey Sid Fits in a Dynamics 365 Stack

Hey Sid is a managed ABM service, not a self-serve tool. It runs The Influence Loop: Always On person-level advertising, Precision Connect LinkedIn outreach, and Authority Builder thought leadership, all aimed at the same named decision-makers. Hey Sid integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365, syncing your deals so you can see which pipeline and revenue your advertising influenced.

What a CRM integration like this is designed to change:

  • Sales sees which deals advertising touched. Influenced pipeline shows which opportunities come from accounts your campaigns have already reached.

  • Marketing reports in pipeline terms. Influenced companies, pipeline and revenue replace impressions as the headline numbers.

  • Both teams work from one account list. The CRM stays the source of truth.

Results from Hey Sid clients include 85% reduced ad spend at Mercuri International (client-reported) and 2.5x shorter sales cycles at Risk Ident (client-reported). Read the details in Hey Sid case studies.

Conclusion: Make LinkedIn Integration With Dynamics 365 About Accounts, Not Leads

Native options give you part of the picture. Sales Navigator helps reps research people, and LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report gives marketing pipeline and company-level attribution inside LinkedIn. Neither puts ad exposure on the Dynamics records where your sales team works.

A complete LinkedIn integration with Dynamics 365 connects company-level ad reach to the deals in your CRM and reports influenced pipeline and revenue from those accounts.

FAQ

Does LinkedIn integrate with Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Yes, in several ways. LinkedIn Sales Navigator integrates with Dynamics 365 Sales, and LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report lists Dynamics 365 as a supported CRM. The report can attribute at company level inside LinkedIn, but neither tool writes LinkedIn Ads exposure onto Dynamics account records. For that you need an account-level ad sync.

Which license do I need for Sales Navigator in Dynamics 365?

Microsoft lists a Microsoft Relationship Sales subscription or a LinkedIn Sales Navigator Advanced Plus license as the licensing requirement. Microsoft states that the Dynamics 365 Sales integration is available only with the Advanced Plus license.

Can Dynamics 365 show which companies saw my LinkedIn ads?

Not on its own records. Dynamics 365 stores leads and opportunities, and LinkedIn stores ad delivery data. LinkedIn's Revenue Attribution Report can show company-level attribution inside Business Manager. To see exposure on the Dynamics account itself, you need a company-level sync into the CRM.

Where do I find the LinkedIn Revenue Attribution Report?

The report lives in LinkedIn Business Manager, not Campaign Manager. You need a Business Manager account with your ad accounts added, and the right CRM permissions to connect Dynamics 365. It offers impression-based and engagement-based attribution, at member or company level.

What happened to LinkedIn lead capture in Dynamics 365 marketing?

Microsoft removed the outbound marketing module from Customer Insights - Journeys in May 2026. Outbound marketing segments, forms and journeys cannot be used in real-time journeys, while the asset library and marketing lists remain usable. If your LinkedIn lead flow ran through outbound marketing, review it and rebuild what you need in real-time journeys.

Does Hey Sid work with Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Yes. Hey Sid’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration syncs your deals into Hey Sid and connects them to the companies your LinkedIn campaigns reached, so you can see influenced pipeline and revenue. It does not yet send advertising data into Dynamics. For HubSpot, Hey Sid also syncs LinkedIn Ads impressions, clicks and engagement onto company records. See the Dynamics integration page for setup details.
